Month of Creation 2011
I have had an artistic block for quite some time now. Whether it is from lack of space to create or finances to purchase supplies, I do not know. I have been doing some major cleaning and found I do have a bunch of supplies from older projects and realized that I can “kill two birds with one stone” as you will. I need to get rid of things to make new ones. So I have come up with an idea! Always dangerous I know, but listen to this. The month of September, I will try to create at least 12 new items from what I have in my supplies. Each week will have a theme. After they are created, I will figure out a way to auction them off so I can raise funds to buy a sewing machine that will allowe me to finally create my clothing designs.
Week One:
I will start off with what I know, Gothic. I will make 3 or so items that are strictly Goth.
Week Two:
I will create items in the style I want my shop to go into, Punk/Goth Lolita. All frills with some chains.
Week Three:
Steampunk. It’s popular, sexy, and uses such interesting things to create that sepia tone style.
Week Four:
Odds and ends. Since I have so much stuff that doesn’t fit into a particular style, I will make odds and ends from what I have.
I am considering putting this project to video, though I’m not for sure yet. Follow me to see how things go. If you want to join me in my creative journey, I would love the company. Send me your updates or post comments to what it is you’re doing. September 1st is the start date. Till next time, have a lovely evening!
